COVID-19

General considerations:

• This information is intended to inform users of how to proceed before and during their stay at Termas de Monfortinho. 

• In order for the return to the spa to be done safely, several hygiene and safety measures were taken, in accordance with DGS Guideline nº031/2020 of 13/06/2020, which users and employees must follow in order to prevent the spread and virus transmission, COVID-19. 

• There is a reinforcement in the adoption of internal organizational measures regarding the distribution in the customer space, in the measures of protection and surveillance of professionals of the spas and in the procedures of the treatments, which will complement the guidelines of the authorities. 

• This guide does not replace the legislation in force, the recommendations of the competent authorities, namely the DGS, that is, this guide is an agreement of the recommendations given by the DGS and the policy defined by the company Termas de Monfortinho. 

• It is assumed that the proper cleaning and sanitization of the building, spaces and equipment is guaranteed in accordance with the sanitary policy.  

General considerations before entering the Termas de Monfortinho building

• Before going to Termas de Monfortinho, you should schedule treatments and/or medical consultations by phone or email.

• We want to guarantee availability in the service and respect the limitations of the number of people present.

• Up to 72 hours before the day of the medical consultation and/or treatments, users will be contacted so that they can answer a brief questionnaire. The questions asked refer to the last 14 days and in order to know if the user had any symptoms of an acute respiratory condition (persistent cough, breathing difficulties), fever (temperature ≥ 38.0ºC), generalized muscle pain, headache, weakness, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, among others, if you have been in contact with a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19, if you have traveled to areas of community transmission, including national areas, if you have been in contact with someone who has traveled to areas of community transmission, including in national areas and if you are a health professional, if you have been to an institution where patients with COVID-19 are treated. If the answer is yes to any of these questions, Termas de Monfortinho reserves the right to refuse to book a medical appointment and/or thermal treatments. If you wish, you can be accompanied by proof of one of these tests (swab or clinical analysis). 

• The Covid-19 virus screening questionnaire will be signed by the user on the day they go to the spa. The same will be signed by the employee who performed it, as well as the date.

• If you have any of the symptoms described above, you should contact the SNS24 hotline (808 24 24 24).

• Access to the hot springs is restricted only to users who have an appointment and/or treatments scheduled, and it is not possible for visitors or companions to enter (except for those accompanying users with physical and/or psychological limitations or minors). 

• If there are companions, they will also be subject to a questionnaire, temperature measurement and will have to comply with all the rules of the spa as well as the indicated PPE (mask, boot covers and gown).

• At any time, due to changes in the clinical picture regarding the likely symptoms of Covid19, the decision on the frequency of thermal treatments can be reviewed. 

• If the user does not comply with the rules given by the company during treatments, we reserve the right to ask the spa treatments to be suspended.  

If, during the thermal treatment, the user presents any symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 or if he is in contact with a person with COVID-19, he must inform the reception of the spa and the treatment will be suspended and he must contact the SNS24 line.

• Following DGS Standard 031/2020 and in order to protect our customers and employees, there are treatments that have been temporarily suspended - Activities carried out in the indoor pool (water aerobics), Facial Shower, Facial Massages and Face Rituals. The wrapping with mud, the Vichy shower with 4 hands massage, the Ayurvedic, 5 Energies and Hot Stones massage were adapted, and the facial massage included in them is no longer performed.

General considerations when entering the Termas de Monfortinho building

• At the entrance, users should sanitize their hands with the alcohol-based solution (SABA) and pass their shoes on the carpet with the disinfectant. In the event that the user refuses hand disinfection due to wounds or dressings on the hands or serious dermatological problems, a pair of gloves may be provided, which must maintain preventive hygiene.

• Users must wait at the entrance until the receptionists indicate that they can enter the reception. 

• All users have their body temperature measured using a non-contact infrared thermometer at the entrance to the spa. For a correct temperature reading, the measurement will be taken twice and the user must remain calm and still. If the body temperature is equal to or greater than 38 degrees, we will apply the measures imposed in our contingency plan.

All users must wear a mask inside the Termas de Monfortinho building and make sure that the mask fully covers the nose and mouth.

• It is mandatory to respect all circulation circuits that are inside the spa, duly signposted, as well as all the indications given by the employees.

• If you perform the Vichy Shower treatment with 4-hand massage, you should bring a spare mask, as the other one will get wet during the treatment.

• All users must stay inside the spa for as little time as possible, restricting their stay only to what is strictly necessary, so that other users can also enter to carry out their treatments.

• You must arrive at the spa 20 minutes before the start of the treatment and only extend your stay until 20 minutes after the last treatment.

• Treatment schedules must be respected. If you cannot attend at the appointed time, please inform reception. 

• You must carry out the treatment in the defined cabin and at the respective time. If you wish to change the cabin in question, please inform reception.

• All users must refrain from bringing decorative ornaments (rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, etc.) to the spa.

• The changing booths will be indicated by the employees in order to guarantee their hygiene.

• If you need to use the showers, you must request the key at reception and hand it in after use, locking the door again.

• Circulation in the treatment areas must be carried out with the use of single and exclusive use slippers, provided by the spa. 

• Payment must be made at the time of registration, preferably with an ATM card.
